Over the last ten years the Devon Prep Basketball program has undergone tremendous growth in many areas. The overall mission of our program is to use basketball to teach life lessons… to use basketball to help our young men grow both on and off the court. This blog is an attempt to highlight things we have done in the past and also preview and demonstrate the many ways that we are going to grow this season!
Which leads me to our new Devon Prep basketball website, created and hosted by Fans of Devon Prep basketball. Just as our basketball program has developed, technology has as well - so what better way to help us highlight our growth by leveraging technology. This website - called The Tide Tip-Off - will contain information on all of our current activities, our rosters, our coaches, schedules, special events, sponsors… and it is available to everyone! We will be able to send this website to current players and families, future members of the Tide, and college coaches. Anyone who wants to see what growth has occurred in the program and also what we have planned to help our young men continue to grow and leave Devon Prep as better people can visit the website and follow us on our journey. Another new resource we will launch in the Fall is the Devon Prep Basketball Rundown. This publication will highlight the entire Devon Prep basketball program while also serving as a game program for all of our home games this winter. The DP Bball Rundown will be a great way to get to know more about the Devon Prep basketball program as well and to closely monitor our growth throughout the season! It will also provide important information about key Philadelphia Catholic League contests this winter among other things.
As John Maxwell stated… everyone changes, it is a part of life and there is nothing we can really do to stop it. That being said, not everyone truly grows. We take pride in our growth over the last ten years and we are truly looking forward to the future and the growth that will happen in our boys and in our entire Devon Prep basketball program. We hope that the website, the blog and the Rundown will allow you to follow the program closer and join us on our journey and watch us grow along the way.
